Janardan Karandkar

Janardan Vaman Karandkar is resident of village Rangeghar of Jaoli taluka from Satara district. At age 72, he is still an active farmer and does farming with the help of his wife and fellow villagers. In the 2 acre land that they have Indrayani basmati rice and groundnut are grown in the kharif  season (monsoon) and wheat, jowar, harbara are grown in the rabbi season (winters). Farming is their main source of income supported by a selling milk of a buffalow that he owns.

He stays with his wife in the village. His son works in the transport sector in Mumbai and stays there with his wife and two children.
