Shivaji Bhosale

Shivaji Vitthal Bhosale, is resident of village Rangeghar located in the Jaoli taluka of Satara district. He and his wife live in their village house and have been engaged in farming for last 40 years. They have a 2 acre farm on which they grow Indrayani basmati rice and groundnuts in the kharif season (monsoon) followed by wheat, jowar and gram (harbara) in the rabbi season (winters). Due to unavailability of irrigation they can not take any crop in the summer season. Farming is the main income generation activity of their family. He also has a 3 goats.
