Every year menstruators across the globe use various products during the time of menstruation as per their comfort. Disposable sanitary napkins have found greater acceptance. In recent years menstruators from villages have started using them widely too. But the problem of disposing the disposables becomes critical with the lack of infrastructure like incinerators at this level.
To address this Grampari has been working with menstruators of all ages in villages, to create awareness among them for using reusable cloth pads of good quality.
Grampari has also trained self help group women in villages in making these cloth sanitary napkins. Post Covid-19 lockdown, 3000 such cloth sanitary napkins were sewn by SHGs and distributed/sold to 1000 menstruators in villages and schools at discounted rates with the financial support of our donors.
